IMPORTANT --AT&T Fiber Upgrade Project
AT&T will be upgrading portions of its network in the Heather Pointe community. It is uncertain as to when the work will begin, but probably in the summer or fall. The upgrade will take place regardless to whether you have Spectrum, Bright House, Charter or any other internet service. About a week before the job starts, a door hanger will be placed to make residents aware that the work is about to begin.

vaults will contain splice locations and larger terminals. The smaller vaults will contain smaller terminals and individual lines to homes. All vaults will be connected with 1.5" pipe placed 24" below ground. What this allows is once all of the new facilities have been placed, when a customer orders service AT&T will only have to bury a new line on their property. The rest of the line will be carried in the pipe and vaults to the property line, allowing less disruption to the community in the future.
Stitch Boring-Missile Boring
The fiber optic cables and pipe that is placed is done with a process called "stitch boring" or " missile boring". AT&T's contractor will dig 15"wide x 72" long x 27" deep holes every 20 to 50 feet depending upon the conditions and will drill holes between the holes to pull in the cable and pipe.
When they dig the holes they first cut the sod and set it aside to save. Then they spread tarp on the ground to protect the grass from the dirt as the hole is dug out. All of the dirt removed from the hole is placed on the tarp.
Placed Handholes

Abandoned Car
A burgundy Honda Accord was parked at the corner of Jana Way and Princess Blvd. After a week the car was reported to the Jeffco Sheriff's Office. That same day deputies followed up and by running the license plate discovered who the owner was. The owner, who lives in Center Point was visited and instructed by the deputies to move the car or it would be towed. The owner complied .
