At the time of this post the person I talked to at Pinson City Hall was unable to give me any information as to whether there had been a ceremony or if there would be any physical or virtual recognition of first responders.
SPLASH PAD IS OPEN at Pinson Bicentennial Park. At the time of this post I was unable to reach anyone regarding times open, age, prices and any other pertinent information needed for 2020. You may have better luck. The number is 205-680-2739

An impromptu discussion among neighbors led to a
cleanup of the overlooked tiny bits of trash that can collect and accumulate
over time. The cleanup wasn’t announced
on social media since it was an effort devised by a few. Some residents who saw
what was taking place said they would like to have participated had they known
about it.

March 12-20: An invitation to respond to the 2020 Census
March 16-24: A reminder letter
If you haven't responded yet:
March 26-April 3: A reminder postcard
April 8-16: A reminder letter AND a paper questionnaire
April 20-27: A final reminder postcard before the U.S. Census Bureau follows up in person
- No one will come to your door until after April 27th, most probably in May AND only if you have not complied with the previous requests.
- Please also know that the Census Bureau will never ask you for:
* Your Social Security number
*Money or donations
*Anything on behalf of a political party
*Your bank or credit card account numbers
