February 7, 2019 Pinson City Council Meeting, Speed Bumps, Library Schedule

February 7, 2019 Pinson City Council Meeting

Four residents from the Heather Pointe community were in attendance at the February 7, 2019 Pinson City Council meeting.

Two residents from Heather Pointe took the microphone, during  Public Comment to ask where Heather Pointe stands on the list of neighborhoods requesting speed breakers? The Council had been asked in the past about installing speed breakers/speed bumps in Heather Pointe. Inns Brooke has  speed bumps. The mayor responded that the speed bumps in Inns Brooke are part of a pilot program, but that he would look into seeing if speed breakers could be  placed in Heather Pointe.

August of 2015 saw the mangling of several neighbors mailboxes and a car left teetering on a utility box.  Fortunately, no one was hurt in this incident, but who's to say  there won't be anyone hurt in the future. Whether this incident was due to speeding is unknown.  It can be said that there have been  occasions where vehicles of all sorts have been observed traveling at speeds inappropriate and out of compliance with posted signs in the community.

Below is the agenda of the February 7, 2019 Pinson City Council Meeting along with the city's expenditures.
