September 2009 Homeowners Association Board Meeting

September 19, 2009 Board Meeting Minutes Summary

Total Present: 13 – 8 board members, 5 residents. Metcalf was not present.

Minutes: The August 15, 2009 Board Meeting Minutes were approved.

Bills: Motion to pay bills in the amount of $2,440.35 was approved.

Signs: The NO SOLICITING, LOITERING, TRESPASSING sign has been installed.

News Letter: The 4th Quarter News Letter is currently under development. Email all submissions for publication to heatherpointe@gmail.com.

Neighborhood Watch Program: Lakesha and Holly are heading our Neighborhood Watch Program. There are 14 volunteers, but more are needed. After speaking with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Holly and Lakesha will present a plan at the October meeting. To become involved email heatherpointe@gmail.com .

Landscaping Committee: Volunteers are needed. Email heatherpointe@gmail.com if you can help.

Pavement Issue: Mayor Sanders has placed the pavement issue of our community before the Pinson City Counsel as Resolution #09-21.

Homeowner Association Dues: Current outstanding dues are $8,075.52. The Executive Board is signing off for liens to be placed on those properties.

Business and Discussion of Concerns: Professionalism on the part of Metcalf and the Board in dealing with the residents, site inspections, robbery in the 5900 block of Princess, dogs running loose, broken curb, vehicle parking obstructing the flow of traffic, pot-holes in the streets, junk cars parked at residences and mildewed siding.

Lakesha reported residents have shown a greater community awareness and have called the police when things seemed suspicious. In one such incident, five people called the police who responded within two minutes.

The Board will begin to think of ideas to generate income, such as, a Community Garage Sale or a Block Party.

The 2010 budget will be presented at the October meeting.
